South Jersey Geek Fest

GeekFest is April 3, 2021

10AM-5PM Always a rain or shine event

At this time South Jersey Geek Fest will be postponed until Saturday April 3, 2021..

We’ve received several questions in regard to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its effect on the upcoming Geek Fest.

It is with great regret that we announce the 2020 Editions of SJ GeekFest have officially been postponed until April 3, 2021 and October 23, 2021 due to concerns regarding the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Please note that this is not a decision we take lightly. As one of the areas premier events in Southern NJ that provides shopping experiences to our guests from nearly 200 small businesses and artists regularly, event cancellations such as this will greatly affect their bottom line. In a world where big box stores and next day online drop shippers reign supreme, please understand that small businesses and artisans are the ones who will feel this pinch the greatest. Although we may be forced to postpone events such as GeekFest, we strongly encourage all of you to support small businesses and your creative communities throughout this entire ordeal NOW MORE THAN EVER because without them, we assure you the world would be a much less beautiful place.

In the past months, we have spent countless hours in contact with other event promoters throughout the region and we have been in regular contact with the Boro of Woodbury Heights and in Tune with County efforts in an effort to provide a proper response to this threat. Ultimately, we have decided it is in everyone’s best interest if we postpone the events until 2021.

In closing, we encourage everyone to stay safe out there, watch out for one another, regularly wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, avoid handshakes, stop touching your face, stay home if you feel sick and if all else fails.

We look forward to seeing everyone in 2021 at the Woodbury Heights Community Center as we get back to business with nearly 200 local vendors, amazing food trucks, live music, outside larping and fun and so much more!

Live Long and Prosper

What is GeekFest

April 3, 2021 10am-5pm Rain or Shine

Geek Fest is a small/medium convention born and bred in South Jersey. After our series very successful and fun shows at this location we are getting a huge show of support.

We just want to bring folks together to appreciate their own version of geek. The floor will be divided into vendors and artists/game devs/web folk, cosplayers and some tournaments/open board game play.

Geekfest will have a huge selection of vendor tables for you at the event, please make sure you stop by and say hi to everyone.

We have added food trucks for the coming events. Stay tuned for some amazing food vendors to tickle your fancies.

Come be passionate about something Geeky with some new or old friends. No judgement here. Rain or Shine!

YoYo folks, Music, Wrestling, Larpers, SCA, Cosplay Kickball, what else could you possibly want?

About Us

Always a Rain or Shine event
228% Amazing

Geek fest is a celebration of your geekery featuring comics, art, tabletop games, music, video games, YouTubers, Yo-Yo’s, cosplayers and much much more.

Our goal is to put on a medium, one day convention in southern NJ to have some fun with our geeky interests. The word geek is a slang term originally used to describe eccentric or non-mainstream people, with different connotations ranging from “an expert or enthusiast” to “a person heavily interested in a hobby”, with a general pejorative meaning of “a peculiar or otherwise dis-likable person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual”. Although often considered as a pejorative, the term is also used self-referentially without malice or as a source of pride. Its meaning has evolved to connote “someone who is interested in a subject (usually intellectual or complex) for its own sake.”
